The following is a brief summary of the environmental monitoring activities that were completed between January 22, 1999 1:00 and 1:00 on January 23, 1999. Construction Highlights

01/22/99 (Friday)

 Segment 5 (Lynwood to Long Beach): Report for 1-22-99. Crews coated pipe and conducted a general clean up at the Edison site near EMP 113.5. Further, crews working nearby placed and concreted fence posts along the rail road right of way. Trenching began along the Huntway section south of Tosco however progress was hindered due to a lack of shoring materials. In addition, crews potholed and x-rayed several sections of pipe. At Tosco crews completed the bore pit, delivered the boring machine with concrete pipe and welded the 16'' tie-in for the Huntway lateral. Commission crews and electricians progressed with the Tosco check list. Segment 4B (Lynwood to El Segundo): Crews at Lynwood station continued clean up and installation of the roof eye brow for the site.
