SFPP Carson to Norwalk Project

The following is a brief summary of the environmental monitoring activities that were completed between 1:00 on 5/08/99 and 1:00 on 5/09/99. This summary is based on reports directly received from the field and has not been edited. If you have any questions please contact (818) 597-3407. Construction Highlights

Spread 1

City of Long Beach

Spread 1 work in the City of Long Beach has been completed.

City of Paramount

No Spread 1 work occurred in the City of Paramount during the shift.

City of Bellflower

The pipelaying and welding crews worked on the west side of the San Gabriel River to complete the welding and tie-into the existing pipe. The crew did not clean Palo Verde Avenue at the end of the shift. The spoil piles and work area were not watered during the shift and visible dust blew off the right-of-way.

City of Cerritos

The crew at the San Gabriel River excavated the trench from the bore pit to the 90-degree bend at the railroad crossing. The access road through the public storage facility was washed down at the end of the shift. Silt remained on the right-of-way

City of Artesia

No work occurred in the City of Artesia during the shift.

City of Norwalk

No work occurred in the City of Norwalk during the shift.

Spread 2

Los Angeles County

No work occurred in Los Angeles County during the shift.

City of Long Beach

A small crew completed welding and coating work in DeForest Park during the Saturday shift.

City of Paramount

No work occurred in the City of Paramount during the shift.

Watson Station

City of Carson

The crew at the Watson Station did not work during the Saturday shift.

Norwalk Station

City of Norwalk

The crew at the Norwalk Station did not work during the Saturday shift.
