The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has prepared the attached Draft Mitigated Negative Declaration (Draft MND) under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for consideration of Pacific Gas and Electric Company's (PG&E) Application to Construct the Potrero to Hunters Point 115 kV Cable Project. The Draft MND details the proposed project, evaluates and describes its potential environmental impacts, identifies those impacts that could be significant, and presents mitigation measures that could avoid or minimize these impacts. The Draft MND was submitted to the California State Clearing House on October 15, 2004 and comments will be received on the Draft MND until November 15, 2004. The Draft MND also contains a copy of the Final Initial Study in compact disc form, which was circulated to the public for comment from September 1 to 10, 2004. Additional copies of the Draft MND and Final Initial Study may be requested by telephone at (415) 962-8467 or by e-mail at potreroHPcable@esassoc.com.
