Power Plant Standards

The Electric Generation Safety and Reliability Section (EGSRS) help maintain reliable electric generation for the public by ensuring power plants comply with General Order (GO) 167 Maintenance, Operation, and Logbook Standards. GO 167 specifies who must file compliance documents according to plant type and capacity. Unless exempt by GO 167, Generating Asset Owners (GAO) are required to file the following documents with the Safety and Enforcement Division.

The following table shows who must file compliance documents. For a more detailed table, download Required Filings Under GO 167 (the latest version is 2017-2018) and Other Required Duties.
