Charlyn Hook

Charlyn Hook started in the Legal Division in 2001. She began her career at the Commission in the appellate law section handling rehearings and appeals. In 2003, she joined the Commission’s enforcement section, representing the Consumer Protection and Safety Division (now the Safety and Enforcement Division) in several investigations and rulemakings. In 2005, she began to focus on Electric Procurement related issues, representing the Office of Ratepayer Advocates in Commission matters, and also representing the Energy Division at the California Independent System Operator. Most recently, Charlyn worked on litigation at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission stemming from the California Energy Crisis. From 2012-14, Charlyn was Legal Advisor to Commissioner Mark Ferron. Charlyn holds her J.D. from the University of San Francisco and did her undergraduate work at San Diego State University.
