NOTICE OF ALL-PARTY MEETING
TO ALL PARTIES:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California will be holding an All-Party Meeting regarding the SBC/AT&T and Verizon/MCI merger cases.
The All-Party Meeting will take place on Thursday, November 3, 2005 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Hearing Room "A" of the Public Utilities Commission, 505 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, California, 94102.
All parties are invited to meet with Commissioner Dian M. Grueniech to discuss the following issues:
I. California Attorney General's Opinions regarding both merger cases
II. Absence of formal evidentiary hearings for the Verizon/MCI merger case.
III. Pros and Cons of including IP network interconnection conditions in both merger cases.
IV. Comparison of conditions between the Verizon merger proposed decision and Kennedy/Peevey alternate decision for the SBC merger.
V. Other Issues of Concern
Please R.S.V.P. to Commissioner Grueneich's office with the name of the representative(s) who will attend the meeting, along with a phone number, fax number. An R.S.V.P. must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2005. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly A. Hymes at (415) 703-5132 or by electronic mail at khy@cpuc.ca.gov.
Due to a limited amount of seating in Hearing Room "A", we must limit the number of participants to no more than 2 representatives per party. No individual meetings will be granted for the A.05-04-020 proceeding.
