To find carrier(s) by area code, county, or by name, the CPUC has created a Telco Residential Services database:

The database provides lists of CPUC-certified telecommunications company services in a specified area code or county. Currently the following utility service types are handled in this database:
- Local residential voice services
- DSL Broadband connection services
- Cable Broadband connection services
- Non DSL/Cable Broadband connection services
The CPUC also provides a list of all certificated telecommunications carriers by type, name, or utility identification number. If you do not know this information and are looking for carriers in your area, please consult your telephone directories under Telecommunications Carriers.
Find Carrier(S) by Name, Type, or Utility ID Number
The source of carrier information is either the original application for certification in California or an update that has been provided by the company. While an effort has been made to keep information current, it is the carrier's responsibility to make available current, accurate information to the CPUC. Please be aware that there may have been changes made to the area code portion of telephone numbers that have not been reflected on the lists.
