California LifeLine Awareness Week

The CPUC celebrated National Telephone Discount LifeLine Awareness Week September 8-14, 2014, in order to promote the California LifeLine Program and the federal Lifeline program.

 

National Telephone Discount LifeLine Awareness Week is a national campaign to encourage qualified consumers to take advantage of programs that provide discounted home or cellular phone service for qualified consumers. California LifeLine participants can have unlimited local calls (landline) for less than $7 a month.

 

California LifeLine

You can qualify for California LifeLine if you or any member of your household is enrolled in a public-assistance program and/or if your total household income is at or less than the following:

Federal Lifeline

Through federal LifeLine you can enjoy savings on your cell phone service. California's four approved service providers that offer the federal LifeLine wireless phone service discounts are:
