Julie Fitch was most recently an Administrative Law Judge at the CPUC. She is also the previous Director of the Energy Division and the Policy and Planning Division, for three years each. She also served as the lead energy advisor to President Michael R. Peevey for nearly four years. In all of these roles in her 13 years at the CPUC, she has been heavily involved in the development of the agency’s energy related environmental policies, focusing on climate change, renewables market development (including the California Solar Initiative), energy efficiency, and demand response. Prior to her work at the CPUC, Julie worked for six years as a consultant designing demand-side management programs for electric utility clients, and supporting energy efficiency programs in developing countries. Julie holds a Master’s Degree in Russian and East European Studies from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from George Washington University. In her free time, Julie enjoys reading fiction and listening to an eclectic mix of music.
