Recent Developments

(Expected) November 1, 2013: Pursuant to D.13-05-034, the first bi-monthly ReMAT Program Period will begin. Projects having submitted completed PPRs will be eligible to participate in the program and execute PPAs.

(Expected) October 1, 2013: Pursuant to D.13-05-034, the IOUs will begin accepting project participation requests (PPR) for projects seeking to participate in the ReMAT program.

July 24, 2013: Energy Division approved the IOUs’ Tier 2 compliance advice letters. The ReMAT Tariffs become effective and replace the AB 1969 FIT tariffs.

June 24, 2013: The three IOUs filed Tier 2 compliance advice letters pursuant to D.13-05-034:

May 23, 2013: The CPUC adopts D.13-05-034, approving a standard feed-in tariff PPA and revised FIT tariffs for each of the three large IOUs.

March 19, 2013: Proposed Decision / Alternate Proposed Decision to adopt a standard contract and revised tariffs for the revised FIT program were mailed to parties of record in R.11-05-005

January 18, 2013: In a ruling issued by the assigned ALJ on January 7, 2013, the IOUs were ordered to file revised draft tariffs “with provisions that are consistent, to the extent possible, across all three tariffs . . . [and that] take into consideration the comments filed previously on these tariffs.”

July 18, 2012: Joint IOU proposed feed-in-tariff PPA filed with the Commission.

July 18, 2012: Each of the three large IOUs filed its proposed standard tariff for the revised Feed-in-Tariff program.

May 24, 2012: The Commission adopted Decision (D.) 12-05-035 establishing the renewable market adjusting tariff (Re-MAT), increasing eligible project size to 3 MW, and implementing other new program rules.

May 7, 2012: PG&E hosted a follow-up joint IOU workshop to review edits to the standard Feed-in-Tariff PPA based on feedback received from the February 22, 2012 workshop at the CPUC.

March 20, 2012: Proposed Decision to establish Revised Feed-in-Tariff Pricing Mechanism mailed to parties of record in R.11-05-005

October 13, 2011: The Administrative Law Judge issued a Ruling seeking comments on the October 13, 2011, Renewable FIT Staff Proposal and related attachments on how to implement changes to PU Code § 399.20.
