CA MUTCD Training and Crossings 101
Guest speaker from Caltrans -- Johnny Bhullar, who is responsible for the developing the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUCTD) -- gave a presentation on the latest version of the document.
Kevin Schumacher and Jose Pereyra with the Commission's Rail Crossings Engineering Section gave a presentation on CA MUTCD Part 8 (which pertains to traffic control devices at highway-rail grade crossings), basic concepts in highway-rail crossing design, and highway-rail grade crossing safety considerations that should be included in environmental review documents.
