Sara Kamins is one of Commissioner Ferron's advisors. Sara was previously the Energy Division staff lead for the Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS) policy implementation proceeding for five years. Sara has expertise in renewable energy markets, RPS statute and program rules, the interactions between renewables and greenhouse gas cap-and-trade programs, and utility procurement processes. Before working at the CPUC, Sara received her Masters of Science from the Energy and Resources Group (ERG) at UC Berkeley and worked in several non-profits and political offices in California and Washington DC.
