Liz Podolinsky is Commissioner Florio’s advisor on telecommunications and transportation policy as well as Supplier Diversity (General Order 156).
Since joining the CPUC in 2008, Liz has worked as an analyst in the Communications and Water branches of the Division of Ratepayer Advocates. Before joining the CPUC, Liz taught economics at a private college and advocated for building more affordable housing in Santa Barbara County. Before arriving in California, Liz worked as a tax analyst for the Ways and Means Committee of the Minnesota House of Representatives and as an economist at the Consumers Union office in Austin, Texas.
Liz has a Bachelor’s Degree in French and Economics and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. She has also published personal essay and travel articles.
