Allison Brown is Commissioner Sandoval’s Water and Legal Advisor. Since joining the CPUC’s Legal Division in 2008, Allison has primarily worked in the Water and Transportation section. She represented the CPUC’s Division of Ratepayer Advocates in a variety of proceedings, including the CPUC’s first statewide water company General Rate Case, as well as multiple proceedings relating to water supply issues on the Monterey Peninsula. She also represented the CPUC’s Safety and Enforcement Division in numerous rail safety proceedings and enforcement matters.
Before joining the CPUC Allison was an associate at a law office specializing in post-conviction matters.
Allison holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate, as well as a certificate in International Law, from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She formerly managed the CPUC legal intern program and co-chaired the CPUC’s Food from the Bar annual fundraiser.
