Jamie Fordyce is an Advisor to Commissioner Dian M. Grueneich of the California Public Utilities Commission, responsible for matters related to the electricity, natural gas, and water industries.
Mr. Fordyce joined the CPUC in 2007 to work in the Policy and Planning Division, where he was engaged in the joint CPUC/California Energy Commission Proceeding to develop recommendations on the implementation of Assembly Bill 32, California’s landmark climate change legislation. In this capacity, he worked to inform the CPUC's quantitative understanding of the potential for greenhouse gas reduction within the electricity and natural gas sectors by 2020 and associated rate impacts.
Prior to joining the CPUC, Mr. Fordyce worked at the Environmental Defense Fund as a research analyst, where his work focused on strengthening economic incentives and regulatory frameworks for water resource management in California.
Mr. Fordyce holds a B.A. in Environmental Science and Public Policy and Economics from Harvard University.
