The Market Structure Branch is responsible for the implementation and oversight of local competition and competitive issues. The Branch reviews, analyzes, and advises on carrier-to-carrier arrangements and interconnecting agreements, as well as, competitive costing, pricing and unbundling issues. The Branch responds to utility applications for mergers, divestitures and acquisitions. The Market Structure Branch also provides advice and analysis on equal access reform and number resource allocation issues.
