Power Plant Standards

The Electric Generation Safety and Reliability Section (EGSRS) help maintain reliable electric generation for the public by ensuring power plants comply with General Order (GO) 167 Maintenance, Operation, and Logbook Standards. GO 167 specifies who must file compliance documents according to plant type and capacity. Unless exempt by GO 167, Generating Asset Owners (GAO) are required to file the following documents with the Safety and Enforcement Division.

•   Maintenance Standards Filing Requirements  (Deadline is extended to February 2 since February 1 falls on Sunday in 2015) 
  •   Maintenance Plan Summary - Due February 2, 2015
  •   Certification with Maintenance Standards - Due February 2, 2015
•   Operation Standards Filing Requirements (Deadline is extended to February 3 since February 1 falls on Saturday in 2014) 
  •   Operation Plan Summary - Due February 3, 2014
  •   Certification with Operation Standards  - Due February 3, 2014
•   Logbook Standards Filing Requirements (Deadline is extended to February 2 since February 1 falls on Sunday in 2015) 
  •   Thermal Logbook Verified Statement - Due February 2, 2015
  •   Hydroelectric Logbook Verified Statement - Due February 2, 2015
