Combined Heat and Power

The CPUC is involved in investigating the role of combined heat and power (CHP) (also known as co-generation) in emissions reduction.

For some background, CHP as a GHG emissions reduction measure is described in the CPUC Final Opinion on Greenhouse Gas regulatory strategies. CHP is introduced in Chapter 4; CHP as a GHG emitter (and point of regulation) recommendations are in Chapter 6.
