Navigant was hired by the CSI Program in 2012 to conduct three studies. The studies were delivered in April and May of 2014.
Task 1 report: Third‐Party Ownership Market Impact Study
The purpose of this study is to explore how the advent and prevalence of third-party ownership is affecting the development of a robust and sustainable rooftop solar industry in California.
Task 2 report: CSI Market Transformation Study (with appendices)
The goal of this Market Transformation Study is to assess the extent of the California customer-side solar photovoltaic (PV) market’s transformation since the adoption of the California Solar Initiative (CSI). The study also considers the extent to which the market for customer-side solar will be sustainable in the absence of CSI.
Task 3 report: Solar PV and Residential Roof Study: Assessment of Interface Issues and Costs
The purpose of this study is to provide insight into the long-term effects and costs created by the interface of PV systems with customers’ roofs.
