The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) Energy Division will hold a workshop to review a staff-proposed plan for the CSI Low-Income Incentive Program for single-family homes. The workshop will be held on Monday, April 30, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Commission Auditorium, CPUC, 505 Van Ness Ave., San Francisco, California. Please note: this workshop addresses solar incentives for existing single-family, low-income homes - the California Energy Commission oversees incentive programs for new affordable housing.
SB1 requires the CPUC to allocate no less than 10 percent of the overall CSI budget to lowincome residential housing. The CPUC Energy Division staff issued a proposal on how to deliver the incentives and implement the low-income program for single-family homes on April 17, 2007. The purpose of this workshop is to allow interested parties and stakeholders the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion to facilitate understanding of the Energy Division proposal in advance of parties' opportunity to file written comments on the proposal.
Parties are requested to file formal comments on the Energy Division proposal by May 11, 2007, and reply comments by May 21, 2007. Staff welcomes informal written comments on the staff draft paper from interested persons or organizations that are not official parties to this proceeding by May 21, 2007; please direct them to Melicia Charles at mvc@cpuc.ca.gov. Please cite the paper's section number and question number in comments. Following written comments, both formal and informal, the Commission will draft a proposed decision on the solar incentive program for low-income, single-family homes.
For questions about the workshop date, time or location, call the Calendar Clerk at (415) 703- 1203. For questions about the workshop agenda or staff paper, contact Melicia Charles in the Energy Division at 415-355-5502 or mvc@cpuc.ca.gov.
