CPUC Gears Up for Summer 2005 to Address Potential Supply Constraint in Southern CA

  • The CPUC Approved a $57 million increase in energy efficiency funding for Southern California Edison to generate a reduction in energy demand of at least 193 GWh and 40 MW during peak energy usage hours.
  • Southern California Edison will expand residential point-of-sale rebates to reduce energy demand during peak energy usage hours (refrigerators, pool pumps, air conditioners, whole house fans).
  • Southern California Edison will increase funding for appliance recycling, small business direct install lighting and large non-residential programs/
