On February 28, 2005, SBC and AT&T filed A.05-02-027 requesting authorization from the PUC to merge operations by transferring control of AT&T California and TCG affiliates to the SBC holding company. In response, a Pre-hearing Conference was held, as were Public Participation Hearings throughout California in June. The Commission has issued a Proposed Decision and an Alternate Proposed Decision and expects to take up the matter at its Nov. 18, 2005 meeting.
