DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:
Under the direction of the EEO Officer, the Office Technician (Typing) (OT/T) will provide the administrative support to the EEO Office. The OT/T must possess a high degree of confidentiality, be able to function with minimal direction and act independently. The OT/T types correspondence, reports, power point presentations, including formatting and selecting graphics, and develops and/or revises forms; receives and screens a wide variety of incoming calls and provides accurate information to callers or transfers calls to the appropriate contact in a professional and diplomatic manner with a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity; establishes, maintains and secures confidential and administrative files; enters information into internal data systems for tracking purposes as well as into the State Personnel Board’s complaint log system; assists with the compilation of statistical information for various report. The OT/T coordinates training sessions, and training needs with the facilitator/trainer, including reserving training rooms and equipment requests, IT, reprographic and mailing needs. The OT/T assembles training materials and maintains a training log for EEO staff and schedules appointments for the EEO Office. The OT/T makes all travel arrangements for EEO staff and prepares travel claims. The OT/T reviews, prioritizes and distributes all incoming/outgoing mail to the proper staff and outside agencies; maintains and orders office supplies; copies and faxes documents as needed and maintains timekeeping records for all EEO staff.

Communicate tactfully and effectively, maintain good working relationships with all levels of staff and outside agencies;

Experience with computer programs such as Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and database systems;

Work accurately with careful attention to detail, understand and follow instructions and set and manage priorities;

Ability to work with sensitive issues in a confidential and professional manner;
- Must have excellent typing skills (minimum of 40 words per minute).
