The CPUC conducts regular audits of the natural gas transmission and distribution functions for each utility providing natural gas in the state. The CPUC also audits mobile home parks that provide distribution of natural gas and/or propane to its residents.
The CPUC compares the functions of transmission and distribution with the requirements set out by General Order 112E as well as federal standards set forth in US Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).
