 Update to Passenger Carrier Inspection in the Hollywood Area and the San Ysidro Border Crossing

For the Hollywood area, April 27, 2006 operation: 

  1. Michael Kellerman dba Hollywood Fantasy Tours - Misdemeanor was filed August 8, 2006.  Court date is set for  September 6, 2006 in Los Angeles Superior Court.  He was charged with one count each of:
    1. Operating without a PUC permit
    2. Advertising without a PUC permit
    3. Operating uninsured vehicles
    4. Displaying a revoked TCP number on vehicles
    5. Engaging employees without evidence of workers compensation insurance coverage
  2. Asatur Kosoyan dba Hollywoodland Tours - Misdemeanor was filed  August 22, 2006 .  Court date is set for  September 27, 2006 in Los Angeles Superior Court.  He was charged with one count each of:
    1. Operating without a PUC permit
    2. Advertising without a PUC permit
    3. Operating uninsured vehicles
    4. Failing to display a valid TCP number on vehicles  

For the San Ysidro Border Crossing, April 7, 2006 operation:

Drivers Franco Garrido and Noe Torres of San Ysidro-based Cal-Mex Tours pled guilty to operating and advertising without a CPCN  from the Commission.  They were each sentenced to pay a $5,000 fine and serve a three-year probation.
