Energy and Water

If you are unable to pay your bill on time or in full, contact the utility and request an extension or payment arrangements. Under state statutes the utility is required to consider payment arrangements if none have previously been given. However, should you fail to keep the agreed upon arrangements the utility is not required to consider additional arrangements.  You may also ask the utility to refer you to an independent organization for assistance in paying your bill.  However, funding is limited and the utility makes no guarantee that the organization can help you.  If your service is disconnected for nonpayment of a bill, you should contact your utility by calling the number on the front of the bill to make the necessary payment to restore service. If you need assistance, you may telephone the PUC’s Consumer Affairs Branch at 1-800-649-7570 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
