Wireless Service
Although Federal law and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rulings, have somewhat restricted state jurisdiction over wireless service, the CPUC Consumer Affairs Branch will still try to advise you about wireless services and help you with your complaint. We have been successful in assisting consumers with wireless problems, so if you have a problem that you have been unable to resolve with your carrier, you may contact us:
- File a complaint online
- Call us at 800-649-7570
Also, did you know that most wireless carriers have agreed to adhere to a voluntary Consumer Code of Conduct developed by wireless companies and CTIA, an industry association that represents all sectors of wireless communications.
Additionally the FCC has advisories on wireless service on its website and can provide you some assistance. The website address is: http://www.fcc.gov. Also check out our telecommunications consumer advisories.
