• California Energy Efficiency Evaluation Protocols  (in word) were created for the CPUC to guide evaluations of investor owned utility energy efficiency programs.  These are technical specifications for conducting evaluation work.
• Evaluation Process Protocols were created to guide the evaluation process conducted by California state staff (CPUC and CEC staff) and are non technical.
• Standard Practice Manual (SPM) is for Economic Analysis of Demand Side Programs and Projects.

• California Codes and Standards (C&S)
  • Codes and Standards Whitepaper by Douglas Mahone et al. (2005) -addresses California building and appliance energy efficiency standards and the role of  C&S programs as part of the utilities'  portfolios of energy efficiency programs.
  • Appliance and Building Standards by Heschong Mahone Group, Inc - estimating the portion of energy savings that can be atrributed to the utilities' C&S program efforts in helping to get standards adopted.
• International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) is required in the California Energy Efficiency Evaluation Protocols for some evaluation work.
• California Evaluation Framework is also required in the California Energy Efficiency Evaluation Protocols for some evaluation work.
• Old Protocols and Procedures for the Verification of Costs, Benefits, and Shareholder Earnings from Demand-Side Management Programs (As Adopted in D.93-05-063, Revised March 1999, no longer in use).
