Online Employment Center Overview

Beginning March 24, 2008, the employment and application process at the CPUC will be completed online.  The online process requires that

1.Applicants possess a valid email address,
2.Registration and,
3.Completion of an online application.

The registration process is simple and easy requiring only a first, middle, last name and an email address.

Once registered, you will be supplied with a password that will allow you to login to the Online Employment Center and apply for jobs at the CPUC.

Your initial application for any job at the CPUC will be very similar to completing our previous paper/hardcopy application (State Form 678).  The initial application will gather a significant amount of information—personal, prior education, prior work experience, etc.

For any subsequent applications, most of the information from the first application will be retained making subsequent applications extremely easy and convenient.

EXCEPTIONS:  Exceptions to this online process will be handled on a case-by-case basis.  If the process results in a great hardship for an applicant the person should call our Human Resources Department at 1-800-555-7809 for assistance.
