Forest Kaser, Energy Advisor for President Picker

Forest Kaser is an Energy Advisor to President Picker. Forest joined the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in 2015, serving as technical lead for the development of the Integrated Resource Planning process and as an analyst in the Renewables Portfolio Standard program. Prior to joining the CPUC, Forest worked as a consultant at Energy Solutions where he led energy planning and demand-side energy management projects for public sector clients, including a $6.7 million statewide retrofit program for advanced lighting and HVAC controls. Forest has also worked as a field and laboratory scientist in air and water quality, as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia, and as an apprentice commercial electrician.

Forest holds Master's degrees in Energy and Resources and Microbiology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
