Liz Podolinsky, Telecommunications and Water Advisor for President Picker


Liz Podolinsky was named as President Picker’s Advisor on telecommunications and water policy issues in July 2014. Since joining the CPUC in 2008, Liz has worked as an analyst in the Office of Ratepayer Advocates - Communications and Water Branch, focusing on broadband subsidy programs and water rate design; and, she also previously served as Commissioner Mike Florio’s telecommunications and transportation advisor. Before joining the CPUC, Liz taught undergraduate economics and worked as a land-use planner in Santa Barbara. She also served as a tax analyst for the Ways and Means Committee in the Minnesota House of Representatives in St. Paul, developing tax strategies to attract manufacturers back to the state. Liz holds a B.A. in French and Economics and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Texas-Austin.
