Jonathan Koltz is Chief of Staff to Commissioner Guzman Aceves. Before that, he served in the CPUC's Legal Division as a federal and state litigator. He also performed advisory work on matters such as CEQA and telecommunications law. He has also worked in publishing, performed research for a counter-terrorism think tank, worked as a Starbucks barista, and almost became a Buddhist monk.

Jonathan has a BA in history from Vassar College, an MA in international history from the London School of Economics, and a JD from the George Mason University School of Law.
