We are holding a Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) En Banc as follows:

WHEN: February 1, 2017, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

WHERE: CPUC Auditorium, 505 Van Ness Ave., San Francisco; also available via webcast in real time and archived thereafter atwww.adminmonitor.com/ca/cpuc; or listen-only call-in number 877-672-5844, passcode 5951128

WHY: CCAs are local governmental entities authorized by statute to procure electricity on behalf of their customers, delivered via the investor-owned utility transmission and distribution system.  CCAs have been expanding and are expected to continue to expand.  This creates regulatory questions including: What entities will be responsible for electricity procurement, contracting, and reliability in the future?  Are there likely to be stranded utility assets?  How will CCA expansion impact regulatory oversight of environmental and public purpose programs?  The En Banc hearing will assemble a diverse panel of experts to consider these and related issues.

You’ll find the agenda and a background paper on our website under “CCA Information”.
