Erica comes to Commissioner Houck’s office from the CPUC’s Energy Division, where she served as a senior analyst on customer-sited renewable energy generation issues and oversaw the DAC-SASH income-qualified solar program. Through this work, Erica gained glimpses into related CPUC work areas such as interconnection equipment and rules, electric rate design and rate discount programs, building and vehicle electrification efforts, and renewable fuels. Previously, she briefly worked in both the Public Advocates Office and the Energy Division’s Energy Efficiency Branch, starting in 2018. A Bay Area local, Erica has also worked in the City of Albany’s Sustainability Division, the Center for Environmental Health, and the Sonoma County Energy Independence Program. Erica holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Puget Sound and a Master of Environmental Science and Management from UC Santa Barbara, specializing in Energy & Climate and Economics & Politics of the Environment.
