Michael Mullaney serves President Reynolds as an advisor on communications and transportation matters. 

Michael joined the Commission in 2017 and previously served President Marybel Batjer as an advisor on communications and transportation matters. Prior to that, Michael worked in the CPUC’s Office of Governmental Affairs on communications and transportation issues.

Before joining the Commission, Michael served in various positions in the Office of Governor Edmund Brown Jr. from 2013 to 2017, including assistant legislative secretary and legislative assistant. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis in history and political science.
