Nick serves as energy advisor to President Reynolds.

Nick joined the CPUC’s Energy Division in 2017 as an analyst on the Resource Adequacy and Procurement Oversight team. In 2021, he joined the Retail Choice team, where he served as the lead analyst on the Power Charge Indifference Adjustment (PCIA) proceeding. He has worked on a number of issues while at the CPUC, including Resource Adequacy program compliance, retirement of coastal natural gas-powered generators, PCIA market price benchmark calculations, rules for community choice aggregation, and others.

Prior to the CPUC, Nick worked for several years at the nonprofit Consortium for Energy Efficiency and briefly at the demand response firm EnerNOC (now Enel X). He holds a Master of Science in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning and Economics from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Analysis and Policy and International Relations from Boston University.
