Energy Division will host the annual Residential Electric Rate Summit (RERS) on January 10, 2023 (Tuesday), 9:30am – 1pm, via Webex. This will be our final annual RERS, as the statewide effort of transitioning residential customers to default time-of-use (TOU) rates and marketing, education and outreach (ME&O) programs are winding down. For this year’s RERS, investor-owned utilities will provide an overview and updates to the Commission and the public on their progress toward reforming residential rates and default TOU rates. In addition, evaluation results for the statewide TOU ME&O programs will be presented. We’ll also have a discussion on the future of TOU rates as well as share key learnings and issues in transitioning and sustaining residential customer enrollment on TOU rates.
