SAN FRANCISCO –The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), in ongoing efforts to bridge the digital divide, will hold a free webinar on the California Teleconnect Fund (CTF), which provides eligible organizations with discounted rates on select telecommunications and broadband services. During this virtual event, CPUC staff will discuss CTF updates, claims processes and payments, and best practices.

WHEN: January 16, 2025, 10 – 11 a.m.

WHAT: The CTF is dedicated to ensuring that eligible California organizations have access to discounted telecommunication services. This initiative aims to promote digital equity and enhance the quality of life for all Californians. During the webinar, CPUC staff will cover the following topics: program updates; claims processes and payments; concepts and best practices; participant report; audits and compliance; and a segment for feedback and discussion with the service providers.  This is the seventh public webinar from CTF to provide community cognizance and advocacy for the program.  For questions about the CTF or for technical assistance, please contact CTFOutreach@cpuc.ca.gov.

The CTF plays a crucial role in bridging the digital divide by providing eligible organizations with discounted rates on select telecommunications and broadband services. These services help ensure that underserved communities, schools, libraries, and healthcare facilities have access to affordable and reliable telecommunications infrastructure.
