Ravi Mangat

Ravi Mangat serves as the interim Advisor to Commissioner Baker. He is assigned to energy and rail proceedings. Previously, Ravi served as the Advisor to former CPUC Commissioner Genevieve Shiroma. Ravi joined the Public Advocates Office of the California Public Utilities Commission in 2011, where he worked on the Energy Resource and Recovery Account proceeding and also focused on transmission, renewables, and other procurement projects. Subsequently, he joined the Commission’s External Affairs Division as a senior analyst where he oversaw the Telecommunications Education and Assistance in Multiple Languages (TEAM) and the Community Help and Awareness of Natural Gas and Electric Services (CHANGES) programs, which help Limited English Proficient consumers manage their utility services. Ravi grew up in London, England, and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Economics from University College London and progressed to work in the United Kingdom central government as an economist in the Government Economic Service.
