Advocacy III

Charlyn Hook started in the Legal Division in 2001.  She began her career at the Commission in the appellate section, and later worked in the Commission’s enforcement section, representing the Safety and Enforcement Division in various investigations and rulemakings.  In 2005, she joined the advocacy section, focusing primarily on energy procurement matters on behalf of the Office of Ratepayer Advocates, and representing the Energy Division at the California Independent System Operator and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.  Charlyn represented the State in litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission stemming from the California Energy Crisis. 

 

Charlyn served as Legal Advisor to Commissioner Mark Ferron from 2012-2014, and as Legal Advisor to  Commissioner Mike Florio from 2015-2016.  She holds her J.D. from the University of San Francisco and a B.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University.
