Generation and Energy Storage Section
The Generation and Energy Storage Section (GESS) of Electric Safety and Reliability Branch (ESRB) implements and enforces General Order (GO) 167-C. Staff performs comprehensive audit, outage inspection, and incident investigation of electric generation and energy storage facilities in an effort to ensure they are maintained and operated in a safe and reliable manner.

- Resolution ESRB-9, adopted June 24, 2021, modified GO 167 (now GO 167-B) to allow Commission staff to issue citations for any violation of GO 167-B and aligns the GO 167-B citation process with existing Commission electric citation programs.

- Maintenance Standards Filing - Due February 3, 2025
- Logbook Standards Filing - Due February 3, 2025
