Energy Savings Assistance Common Area Measures (ESA CAM) Program

In 2020, each investor-owned utility offered the Energy Savings Assistance Common Area Measures (ESA CAM) program for deed-restricted, multifamily buildings. To qualify, the property must be deed-restricted, and the owner must certify that at least 65% of the tenant households meet the ESA income guidelines. Energy efficiency services provided differ by the utility and are limited to communal areas, common energy systems, a residential building(s), or property. This program can be combined with the ESA in-unit program.
