Transfer of Authority of Household Goods, Private Carriers, Vessels for Hire, Commercial Air Operators

Effective July 1, 2018, the CPUC authority of Household Goods, Private Carriers, Vessels for Hire, and Commercial Air Operators will be transferred to the following agencies listed below. This change was enacted by Senate Bill SB-19 and was approved by the Governor on October 02, 2017. SB-19 transfers jurisdiction over Commercial Air Operators to the city, county, or city and county with geographic jurisdiction. Please consult with your local city and/or county government on regulatory responsibility to operate as a Commercial Air Operator.
