January 21, 2020 -

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) will hold a Wildfire Safety Advisory Board in Sacramento, as follows:

WHEN: Tuesday, January 21, 2020, 10 a.m.

WHERE: Auditorium (1st Floor), 400 R Street, Sacramento, CA 95811; also available via listen-only phone line at 1-800-857-1917, passcode 92105

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting and provide their input on the agenda items, such as the advisory group’s priorities and utility wildfire mitigation plans.

Assembly Bill (AB) 1054, signed into law in July 2019, created the California Wildfire Safety Advisory Board, a board of independent expert advisors, to advise a new Wildfire Safety Division within the CPUC on wildfire safety measures, including plans written by utilities, so the CPUC can more effectively regulate the safety of investor-owned utilities.

More information on the Wildfire Safety Advisory Board is at www.cpuc.ca.gov/WSAB.

Those attending remotely can email comments to public.advisor@cpuc.ca.gov.

The CPUC regulates services and utilities, protects consumers, safeguards the environment, and assures Californians’ access to safe and reliable utility infrastructure and services. For more information on the CPUC, please visit www.cpuc.ca.gov.
