About the Proceeding
Suburban Water Systems is requesting an increase in revenue of approximately 40 percent from 2027 to 2029. If approved, the average residential customer using 12 CCF (1 CCF equals 748 gallons of water) per month would see an increase of $32.26 on their monthly bill phased in over a three-year period:

  • 2027: 19.41 percent increase
  • 2028: 8.91 percent increase
  • 2029: 8.15 percent increase

Suburban Water Systems’ rate case application to the CPUC says the increase in revenue would pay for rising costs and the need to replace aging infrastructure. The water utility serves 300,000 customers throughout Southern California.

The CPUC welcomes attendance and comments at the Public Forums (formally called Public
Participation Hearings), as public comments help the CPUC reach an informed decision.

While a quorum of Commissioners and/or their staff may attend the Public Forums, no official action will be taken on this matter.
