Climate Adaptation and General Orders Workshop – April 17, 2025

Virtual Workshop on Safety Policy Division's Staff Analysis on Climate Adaptation and General Orders held on April 17, 2025, from 9 am-1 pm PST.

This workshop presented findings from the Safety Policy Division's (SPD) analysis of the CPUC’s General Orders regarding R.18-04-019 Phase 2 Task 6. This task focuses on the potential to update General Orders to incorporate climate adaptation measures. Additionally, the workshop engaged experts to gather insights on three possible strategies SPD staff propose to update the General Orders in line with climate adaptation requirements.

Climate Adaptation Equity Metrics Technical Workshop – November 20, 2024

Description: Public workshop held in San Francisco, CA on November 20, 2024, from 10am-5pm PST, with a hybrid option.

This purpose of this workshop is to gather input on and gain understanding of the use of quantifiable equity metrics in climate adaptation planning. This workshop may inform refinements to existing requirements for utility community engagement and equity considerations for CAVAs for energy infrastructure.

Southern CA Climate Adaptation Community Engagement and Equity Workshop – October 25, 2024

Public workshop will be held at Quail Hill Community Center (39 Shady Canyon Drive) in Irvine, CA on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 9:30am – 5pm PST, with a hybrid option. Register for in-person or virtual attendance here.

The purpose of this workshop is the same as the Northern CA workshop on September 19, which is to gather input to refine existing requirements for utility community engagement for Climate Adaptation Vulnerability Assessments (CAVAs) for energy infrastructure and to discuss methods to measure equity impacts of CAVAs within climate adaptation planning.
